The organization known as Under His Wing has been open and fighting issues of poverty, homelessness and food insecurity in the Lakewood New Jersey Area for many years. UHW started in 1999 with one purpose and mission in mind that is "to serve". At first we scheduled the soup kitchen only one saturday a month and as the need grew we increased our schedule to 2 saturday's a month, a food panty during the week, as well as emergency assistance when we are called upon by different agencies, groups or individuals.

Being apart of America's Second Harvest with more than 200 food banks and rescue organizations that has served nearly 16 billion meals and 250 million people.UHW understands that with this economy there is still a lot of work that needs to be done in the fight against poverty in America.
